About Dave Whalley
Dave’s goalkeeping career started as an apprentice goalkeeper for Blackburn Rovers from 1983. He then went on to play semi-professional football for 16 years before relocating to Perth where I have been coaching goalkeepers since 2002.
Dave is passionate about helping aspiring goalkeepers of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential and it is his aim to help all goalkeepers play at the highest level they can.
Since DWG was established as a full time business in 2017, he is very proud of the work that has been accomplished. The results achieved at DWG provide evidence of the attention to detail and methodical approach taken to the development of goalkeepers.
Dave’s objective is to maintain good relationships with all goalkeepers and coaches to facilitate the best learning environment possible.
Dave holds an FFA Advanced Level 2 Goalkeeping licence since 2014 and keeps his knowledge up to date with weekly mentoring sessions with a UK based professional goalkeeping coach.
